My name is Nina Elliott and I am The Rock Vandal.

I make crocheted art from Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada. Inspired by a career in Occupational Therapy, I believe that art should be accessible and that it can create happier and healthier communities. This philosophy inspires all my art.

I have worked with a variety of brands including Shorefast Foundation and Robins Donuts, and created unique art for festivals as close as Gander, NL and as far away as Trivento, Italy.

Each summer I host Newfoundland’s Outdoor Art Gallery and share my work for free on the streets of Twillingate. In 2022 I received an ArtsNL grant that allowed me to invite some of my favourite international yarn artists to contribute. In total we had contributions from 16 artists in five different countries!

I love crocheting yarn installations that draw people into your business and provide an opportunity for a selfie. If this is something you’re interested in, send me an email and we can chat ideas, spaces and the process of installation.

My love of yarn obviously extends to the home too! I make wall hangings with luxury yarn and knit ‘Knotical’ pillows bringing a sense of Newfoundland-elegance and warmth to your space.
